Meet My New Friend, BOB!

BOB, Baby On Boardwalk!

Chris and I recently purchased a new jogging stroller, the brand name is called "BOB"  and they are the cadillacs of jogging strollers.  We have been putting it to the test and hoping that Wesley agrees that it was worth the investment.  Mommy has yet to get back into any type of running routine but we have been trying it out for walks around the neighborhood.  Wesley and I try to go for an evening walk after I pick him up from daycare.  Sometimes Daddy will join us but usually we get a head start because he comes home a little later.

This past Saturday, Chris was driving home from Georgia with a new trailer for the J/24.
(Sidenote: This means we hope to get back out on the water and do a bit more racing.  Chris' parents, Joan and Alex, have a boat in Annapolis and one of their former dock neighbors had secured two car seats in the rear of the boat on the stern pulpit to carry his twins sailing with him!!!  Chris has expressed interest in doing the same for Wesley but Mommy still needs a bit of convincing!)

Anyway, since Chris was out of town, Wesley and I ventured to the boardwalk with the new stroller and Mommy actually had a decent run.  We both enjoyed the beach view, great people watching and beautiful weather.  We can't wait to do it again!!!

Not De-Feeted!

Finally Found My Feet!

Toys have taken a back seat to Wesley's own feet.  He realized how accessible they were, that he didn't need any help to play with them and that he could get to them just about anytime.  Ever since this big realization, the feet have been a constant form of entertainment and will usually end up in his mouth!  This is one series of photos after a diaper change...definitely makes that task more challenging!

Thank You Easter Bunny!

Easter Ham!

We spent Easter at my parents' house this year and as you can tell, Wesley seemed to enjoy himself!  We didn't cook a ham, but we sure had one on our hands!  Wesley visited with Mimi and Pops, his great aunts and uncles, his Aunt Daryl and Uncle Quen and cousins, Logan and Hayden.  The Easter Bunny was very good to him and filled his basket with books and toys while his cousins also gave him some really fun new things to play with.

The Cutest Easter Bunny(ies)Ever!!!

4 Month Milestone

Rice, Rice, Baby!

Wesley had his 4 month check-up last Friday and we were given the green light to start him on rice cereal. He did great with the spoon and seemed to enjoy the cereal but I think he lost patience after a while.

The rest of his 4 month appointment went very well...Wesley is still a Stringbean measuring in at 15 lbs, 9 oz and 26.5 inches long which puts him in the 50th percentile for weight and 90th percentile for height.  We don't have any basketball players in my family although my Uncle Chris on my mother's side is pretty tall!  We will see if this growth trend continues.

I was worried about his immunizations as I mentioned in a prior post and while every parent deals with this, it still isn't pleasant.  I have to say that Wesley was a real trooper; I bet he didn't cry a total of 5 seconds!  What a relief to have that overwith---until the next check-up!

Kings of Kingsmill!

Another First

I had my annual sales conference at Kingsmill Resort and Spa this year in March.  My employer is very family oriented and offered to have Chris and Wesley come along for the trip to make it easier on us.  I am still nursing Wesley and while the thought of getting a full night of uninterupted sleep was very enticing, I wasn't altogether excited to leave my baby(ies) for the night.  I am certain that Daddy would have been just fine; Wesley as well, but the offer was there so we took advantage.  In fact, they upgraded us to a one bedroom suite!  Too bad we didn't get to enjoy it very much as a family.  I spent a whole day, evening and half the next day attending the conference while Chris and Wesley had some bonding time.  They took advantage of the nice weather and took several walks through the grounds.  Wesley met many of my colleagues and was a huge ham with his smiles and coos!

So this was technically Wesley's first hotel stay...not a bad place to start!  I hope he doesn't get used to it...
